Browns rookies help host final day of Browns Football Camp
June 15, 2018 08:00 PM | Clevelandbrowns.com
Back when he was growing up in Nevada, Browns rookie offensive lineman Austin Corbett attended a youth football camp hosted by the Oakland Raiders.

Corbett, who remembers how much of an impact the event had on his life, spoke of things coming full circle Friday as he and members of the team's rookie class helped host the 2018 Cleveland Browns Football Camp, in association with University Hospitals and the PURELL brand, at FIrstEnergy Stadium.

"I just remember being there and that moment when the players came out, that was just unbelievable to me, so I know what these kids are going through," Corbett said. "I just want to make sure that they're having the best possible time becauseit's so special to be in a city with an NFL team and just to have them look up to us at all times and we're such an important role model and I want to be that."

Corbett and the Browns rookies, who visited the camp's first session last week at Lou Groza Field, played with the campers and helped lead various drills.

"This is a passion of mine to be out here in the community playing with these kids," rookie cornerback and Northeast Ohio native Denzel Ward said, "because I used to be one of those kids who used to look up to NFL players, meet everybody, get their autographs. So it's fun."

During each session, University Hospitals and Browns lead medical physician Dr. Sean Cupp and Dr. Rob Flannery also spoke with youth football campers' parents about concussion awareness, hydration and player health and safety. Arby's, a partner of the Cleveland Browns, will provide food for participants every day of camp.
